bad credit persaonal loans

I've heard of Metropolitan Credit Union out of Boston - but just wondering if anyone has any recommendations.
I guess this is really a personal decision as only he knows whether or not he can continue to make ends meet.
This little boo-boo may be what you hang them by.
I go to use it for $56 worth of merchandise and it says call for auth.
